Privilege

I. I am. I want. I will. This self-determinism that I hold so dear. All afforded to me wholly by natural right. And yet my ability to exercise my natural rights is afforded to me by privilege. Rich. American. Male. White. Straight. Cis. Educated. Able. And more.

The life I lead is not one of the majority. It is the life of a distinct elite class. One whose natural rights are not attenuated by the reality in which they live.

I wish the experience I have for everyone. That is the world I feel compelled to work toward.
